Zimbali Lodge was opened in May 1998 creating huge interest on the north coast this magnificent Lodge was built in just under a year. The Lodge is situated on an indigenous forest estate which is more than 300 hectares in size. The architects for Zimbali Lodge Theunissen Jankowitz SA Incorporated drew on 25 years¿ experience in the design industry and traveled extensively overseas to research the boutique hotel concept in Malaysia Thailand Indonesia and the United States. The interior design of Zimbali Lodge was entrusted to Dallas-based Wilson And Associates the renowned interior designers of The Palace at the Lost City Sugar Beach Hotel in Mauritius The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town and The Blue Train.
